Calling all Mah Jongg lovers and wannabes—Women’s Philanthropy invites you to an evening of fun, food and fellowship.
Whether you’re a seasoned player who knows the 2025 Mahj card backwards and forward or someone still learning the ropes (like me), this lively evening promises something for everyone. It all takes place Tuesday, July 29 at The J in Creve Coeur, where the community will come together for games, good eats and great company.

The night begins at 5:30 p.m. with an hour-long refresher session, perfect for brushing up on your skills or getting a crash course in how the game works. From 6:30 to 7 p.m., guests can enjoy heavy appetizers and drinks while mingling with fellow players. Then from 7 to 9 p.m., it’s game on—with open play across the room.
Tickets are $40 and include food, drinks and gameplay. Kosher dietary laws will be observed.
Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase that night, with fun prizes up for grabs. You can purchase official National Mah Jongg cards here; allow at least one week for delivery. Official cards will not be available on site.
All you need to bring is your love of Mah Jongg—or your curiosity to learn—and a desire to connect with a welcoming, spirited community. Trust me, if I can learn this game with my adult hyper-ness, anyone can.
Let the tiles fall where they may and the games begin.
